I had 7 wheaties and 1 silver dime and headed to lunch...
1956 Roosevelt Silver Dime (Silver #3)
After lunch, I deceided to try and new location that a friend told me about... I had stopped by there yesterday, but there was still 3+ inches of snow and a good portion of the ground was still frozen...
I checked the ground on the area that was melted and I could see the bottom of the hill area was wet/muddy but definately detectable...
My 1st dig was a memorial penny at 6+ inches... not good...
My 2nd recoverd target was silver!
1954 Roosevelt Silver Dime (Silver #4)
Wheat pennies were popping out pretty regularly here as well...
I was working ramdonly just checking what was and wasn't frozen and as I got up the hill a little was at 7-8" was this well worn silver dime!
1923 Mercury Silver Dime (Silver #5)
As the time passed I was pretty damp as this ground was soaked and cold... but when your digging silver, it seems like Florida :-) The actual temp was 38.
I was looking towards the back of the field and decided to wander 100 foot back and within 5 feet of putting my coil down... 12/45 ringing loud at 5-6"...
1964 Roosevelt Silver Dime (Silver #6)
I put the plug back in, stood up and rescanned over it... and 12/45! I am thinking double silver :-)
I popped the plug back out and checked the bottom of the hole with my probe and felt vibration...
